M & J Transport Shared Network Principles M&J Operate a UK wide shared user network for a range of customers who inject consignments for nationwide delivery on a daily basis. The network is configured to enable all customers to benefit from some economies achieved through a standard approach to the scheduling of resources, trunk times and delivery route departures. All customers are provided with uniform delivery sla’s based upon the geographical distance, time constraints upon our drivers and legal speed limit constraints placed upon our vehicles. Customers are able to benefit from lower drop costs by signing up to our network operating schedules which is key to ensuring that we are able to deliver both cost advantages and reliable and achievable delivery SLA’s. M&J Offer to all its customers requiring a timed delivery service pre 08:30 to all UK postcodes except for* and **. All customers agree to pre defined collection times which are arranged to allow the customer as late an order cut off as possible but still allowing us to ensure that all network collections are achieved. Timeliness is key to the success of the network the collection and trunk departures are key , we build in a maximum of 30 minutes allowance at customers after the agreed collection time for any over runs in order picking after which time vehicles are required to depart. Due to the shared nature of our network we have to operate to agreed times so that customers are not adversely affected by other users of the network. Where customers have operational difficulties we work with them to find a solution for both short and long term issues. We are able to offer alternatives to the core service by agreement but additional charges may be levied to accommodate these requests if they do not fit within our core activity. Long term additional services can be accommodated by agreement and subject to charges, for those *areas with alternative sla’s where a dedicated resource for the final mile delivery can be provided, or a complete dedicated collection to delivery solution. *IV, AB, KW Delivery sla pre 12:00 ** BT pre 17:00 next day ,JE,GY, IM,BT,ZE,HS 2 day service

Irregular dimensions and weight parts can be accommodated through our in night network. Deliveries are made through our normal network if the receiving location is able to accommodate the size of part up to 425kg *. Alternative site delivery in night or next day. * Over 425kg next day delivery

Martin Williams oversees the physical operation whilst Kerry Williams actively manages the everyday administrative operations, Kerry personally handles all commercial contracts.
Her team incorporates a wealth of experience with the help two qualified transport managers. Naaz Harris leads the back office team and driver supervision. Karen Williams runs the customer support division and would be your dedicated contact.



In M&J Transport we use our own vans and drivers this covers over 90% of all freight deliveries. All our drivers are CRB checked who are required to wear the company uniform, we strongly believe that as the main contact for your customers on a day to day basis our drivers should always be both smart, polite and professional.

M & J Transport specialise in through the night deliveries and currently have in excess of 50 vehicles delivering freight every evening. This is backed up with a fleet of fast response vehicle for urgent same day deliveries. 38 tonne vehicles are also available upon request.

Our fleet range incorporates a full variety of vans. This varies from small Astra vans for single item deliveries. 1,2,3 and 4 pallet vehicles for day and night deliveries and in excess of 30 tail lift and curtain sided vehicles including 38tonne tractor units.

We currently operate at a 99% success rate for all deliveries, extreme weather conditions can reduce this figure slightly during winter months however we can assure you that every effort is made so you get the service we are hired to achieve.
